Hope and Change for Haiti, in partnership with Dorcas International and through the initiative "We Are One Rhode Island - WER1", seeks to support members in the Haitian Community or other communities in Rhode Island who are affected financially by Covid-19.
Eligible applicants will receive a fixed amount of $400 prepaid no fee debit card within 2-3 weeks that they can use for their most urgent financial needs.

Supporting and Celebrating Women in 2020: That’s what we do
We are thrilled to invite you to join us at the International Women’s Day celebration to honor women in our state. This year, we are pleased to honor two women who have worked and devoted themselves to protect women’s rights. The event will be held on Friday, March 6th, 2020 at 3:30- 5:30 at the state house.
This year’s theme is: Each for Equal: Fighting bias for an inclusive community.
At our fundraiser organized in January 1st, 2020 for Marie Michelle Saintil who is battling stage four Breast Cancer, we raised $ 2,757.00. This has made a difference for Marie Michelle. We are grateful for your contribution and your presence. We couldn't have done it without your support and generosity.

In Partnership with HAPPARI (Haitian American Partnership for Positive Actions of Rhode Island), Hope and Change for Haiti is hosting an event to bring the rhythms of traditional Haitian music to Rhode Island. This event is a one day workshop about Haitian Drum teaching to benefit the Rhode Island community and others nearby. Haitian Master Drummer Leon Mackendie from "Jean Appolon Expressions" (in Cambridge MA) is the facilitator of this workshop.
